I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.

Competitive product is too form

PROCESS

Focus on draping throughout the prototyping stages to determine the volume placement & amount to provide coverage, but not hinder motion.

1_Page_13_edited.jpg

INITIAL DRAPE

Cutting & pinning different shapes on the dress form to determine the overall silhouette.

FIRST PROTOTYPE

Sew sample to check shapes.  Most interested in the side profile of the sleeve.

HIJAB PROTOTYPE

Modifying fit of the fabric

over the head to ensure

a secure fit

HIJAB SECOND PROTOTYPE

Testing the fit & function of the double hood feature where top layer can be worn as a cowl.

FULL PROTOTYPE - FRONT

Sewn garment to test pattern, overall proportions, construction & finishing.

CONCLUSION

In further exploration of this product & this space I'd like to look more in depth into performance benefits for

the athlete & address issues on how to make this garment more aerodynamic as well as supportive.

THE HIJABI RUNNER

The final product is a form concealing garment that would expand the recreational athlete's options.  No woman should feel like she can't attain her athletic goals because she feels uncomfortable or self-conscious.
